Շունն ու կատուն, բալլադ, որը գրել է Հովհաննես Թումանյանը: Բալլադի ծագումը ժողովրդական է: Բալլադը պատմում է շան և կատվի վեճի մասին: Շունը գառան մորթին տանում է տալիս կոշկակար կատվին, որպեսզի վերջինս նրա համար մի գլխարկ կարի, բայց կատուն ամեն անգամ մի բան հորինելով` չի կարում նրա գլխարկը: Շունը զայրանում է, սկսում է վիճել կատվի հետ և այդտեղից էլ սկսվում է նրանց հավերժական վեճը:
